Student Support Services
Livingston’s Department of Student Support Services works in partnership with families and the community to ensure that all students are provided the opportunity to learn, in a safe environment, the knowledge, skills, and attitudes needed in order to become life-long learners and contributing citizens in a diverse society. The Department supports students with disabilities by providing specialized instruction in a variety of areas, including but not limited to: literacy, mathematics, social/emotional, behavioral, self-help and independence, speech/language, communication, occupational therapy, sensory/motor, and physical therapy. Students receiving special education and related services are supported by a variety of staff including special educators, school psychologists, speech/language pathologists, an occupational therapist, paraprofessionals, and physical therapists. Additionally, the Department supports students who attend a local youth day treatment program.
