Educational Mission Statement

The educational mission of the Livingston School District, in partnership with the community, is to provide the opportunity for all students to learn, in a safe environment, the knowledge, skills, and attitudes needed in order to become life-long learners and contributing citizens in a diverse society.

Livingston Public Schools is committed to providing solid reading instruction at all levels to every student.

• provide opportunities for authentic and purposeful reading
• develop authentic and purposeful literacy assessment and evaluation
• use a variety of methods to collect data to inform and support literacy instruction and intervention
